On September 6, 2011 Audio Blood launched the Coffee Shop Project (CSP) Pick of the Month program. Kicking off with 10 independent coffee shops in Toronto, Pick of the Month download cards and displays will be activated on-site at each location. Each coffee shop will receive 200 download cards featuring a download bundle from one featured artist to display for 1 full month. On January 2012, CSP will launch in all major markets across Canada. By March 2012, CSP download cards will be in 100 coffee shops across the country.
The download card will offer fans access to new music downloads from featured Pick of the Month artists. After picking up the card on location, consumers will arrive at http://csp.audioblood.com where they will be able to collect their free download. The download will also be available online, making #CSP not only a lifestyle marketing tool but a viral and digital platform.
After years of Audio Blood racking their brains as to what it is that truly breaks a band, turns out the answer was always just right beneath our nose. It all comes down to that sacred cup of coffee, the one you just can’t go without. We traced that trail and came to the conclusion that neighbourhood coffee shops hold the key to success more than ever before. They are slowly replacing living rooms, offices, and are trusted sources of culture. Coffee shops are tastemakers not just when it comes to the perfect brew, but when it comes to leading new trends. Artists and coffee have been in bed together for ages. It’s about time we marry the two. And who better to trust with our tunes, than the ones we entrust with our sacred cup of coffee.
