About

Audio Blood is a full-service artist and brand development company based in Toronto, Ontario, which has existed in some form or another since 2006. Starting out with humble beginnings as an online magazine, it later turned into a small-circuited print zine and began producing shows in Barrie and Toronto, Ontario. That venture quickly morphed into a marketing and publicity company that now melds public relations, marketing, and radio promotion in to one neat package. Audio Blood can also offer services in french and english speaking markets.

During its two years of existence, Audio Blood has grown to house a team of dedicated and talented staff each with impressive backgrounds, and has built a name for itself as a reputable and quickly expanding force in the Canadian music industry. Through unique media and promotional packages Audio Blood continuously proves to be creative, innovative, and on the cutting edge of independent music marketing and promotion. Audio Blood has built working relationships many prominent Canadian labels including EMI Canada, Nevado Records, Universal Music, and has helped jump start the careers of some of Canada’s favorite exports (Leif Vollebekk, Gentlemen Husbands, Dinosaur Bones).

Thank you to those of you who have helped make Audio Blood what it is today. We look forward to what the future brings and will always stay true to our promise of offering entertaining and thought-provoking music.

Sari Delmar // President

Sari Delmar got her start in the industry at a young age as a freelance writer for top music publications such as Exclaim! and Clash Magazine (UK). She has worked for a number of major Canadian companies within the industry including positions at Wind-Up Records Canada, Third Estate Merchandise, Nevado Records, and Rebel Music Publicity and Promotions; all the while maintaining Audio Blood and helping out artists on the side. Before long, Audio Blood bands started gathering steam and required more full-time attention, prompting her to take on Audio Blood full time at the beginning of 2009. Through her extensive past, Sari has created and maintained working relationships with hundreds of media outlets across Canada as well as many key players in the Canadian music industry. Aside from running Audio Blood, Sari manages The Balconies and Sandman Viper Command. Sari has been invited to speak at Canadian conferences across the country (Nova Scotia Music Week 2011, Canadian Music Week 2012, COCA 2011) and her writing on the music industry has been published in The Music Industry Report, Clash Music, Canadian Musician Magazine and more. Recently Sari has been profiled in Off the Map Magazine, Turn the Record Over,  and She Does the City.

Jaimie Milburn // National Publicist

Despite the hot-off-the-press diploma in her hand from Durham College’s Music Business Management program, Jaimie is no newbie to the music industry game. After landing her first internship in 2009 with Audio Blood, she let her passion for marketing and PR propel her into other placements with Jam Van Inc. and later MapleMusic Recordings, where she worked releases and tours for the likes of Shad, The Dears, and Jim Bryson and The Weakerthans. Now Jaimie is back where it all began armed with PR superpowers, ready to take over the world. Well, that last part may be a bit of a stretch but you’ll just have to wait and see.

Tara Hitchman // Production

After graduating from the music business program at Durham College, Tara spent the majority of her days mothering musicians on the road as a tour manager for the likes of Protest the Hero, Jesse Labelle, Sandman Viper Command, and Emily Osment. She has worked production for massive festivals like Edgefest in Toronto and held office positions at Wax Records and E1. Tara’s ability to work hard under pressure and never show a sign of stress made Sari (Audio Blood’s president) feel warm and fuzzy inside… so really it was a natural fit and in 2011 Tara officially joined the Audio Blood family.

Dave Lock // Project Manager

The enabler- what else can we say. Dave appreciates what goes in to entertaining a crowd and has been proving himself as a contributor to the Toronto music scene for the past 2 years. As Project Manager here at Audio Blood, Dave mixes his business mindset with a charming personality, refreshing creativity and what we think is a cross between deep intensity and honest passion (it’s hard to tell sometimes).

Jeremy Tompkins // Production & Management

Like a good dad, Jer always knows best. Though you might not guess it, in his younger days Jer was training to be the next Tennis all star and was often referred to as a “child tennis prodigy”. Lucky for us, Jer traded in his early morning’s on the court for late nights at the bar watching rock and roll bands. While studying at the University of Ottawa in the theatre program Jer took his first industry job as student programmer at the campus bar which later lead to him becoming a board member for COCA. Meanwhile Jer began DJing and throwing raging house parties hosting the likes of The Wooden Sky, Ruby Coast, The Balconies, and others in his living room. After graduating he returned back to home soil in Toronto and linked up with New Rose in it’s beginning stages and began what is sure to be a long career in artist management.

Emy Stantcheva // Assistant to Sari

Starting out as a modern languages student at the University of Toronto, Emy Stantcheva didn’t choose to work in music so much as she fell into it by accident — not once, but twice — before even considering the industry as more than just a hobby outside of her studies. It wasn’t until she met rock n’ roll singer/songwriter Basia Lyjak that Emy discovered the adrenaline rush of helping an artist whose music she truly loved to move forward with their career. To expand her knowledge, Emy enrolled in George Brown College’s Music Business Administration program and began interning on and off with Audio Blood Media in September 2009, while also dabbling in freelance copywriting and social media for various bands, artists, businesses and music festivals. Having witnessed the better part of Audio Bloods evolution, she’s excited to be on the always stellar team in a full-time capacity.
