About
Audio Blood is a full-service artist development company based in Toronto, Ontario, which has existed in some form or another since 2006. Starting out with humble beginnings as an online magazine, it later turned into a small-circuited print zine which soon began producing shows in Barrie and Toronto. That venture quickly morphed into a marketing and publicity company, that melds public relations, marketing, and radio promotion in to one neat package.
Founder and General Manager Sari Delmar got her start in the industry at a young age as a freelance writer for top music publications such as Exclaim! and Clash Magazine (UK). She has worked for a number of major Canadian companies within the industry, including positions at Wind-Up Records Canada, Third Estate Merchandise, and Rebel Music Publicity and Promotions, all the while maintaining Audio Blood and helping out independent artists on the side. Before long, Audio Blood bands started gathering steam and required more full-time attention, prompting Delmar to take on Audio Blood full time at the beginning of 2009. Through her extensive past Delmar has created and maintained working relationships with hundreds of media outlets across Canada as well as many key players in the Canadian music industry. Audio Blood has built relationships with many prominent Canadian labels, including EMI, Nevado Records, Wax Records, Wind-Up Records, and has helped jump start the careers of some of Canada’s favorite exports (Still Life Still, Green Go, Yukon Blonde).
During its first year of existence, Audio Blood has grown to house a team of dedicated and talented staff each with impressive backgrounds, and has built a name for itself as a reputable and quickly expanding force in the Canadian music industry. Through unique media and promotional packages Audio Blood continuously proves to be creative, innovative, and on the cutting edge of independent music marketing and promotion.
The reality is that being in a band is just like running a business. In between writing, recording, and playing shows it’s understandable that artists don’t really have time to take over the universe. Audio Blood is here to help. Bigger than any of this, you should know we have a huge passion for music and love nothing more than to see great music and talented artists receive the attention they have worked so hard for.
Thank you to those of you who have stuck with Audio Blood through its many changes of shape. We look forward to what the future brings and will always stay true to our promise of offering up great and thought-provoking music.
